(Muhammad) 47 : 32
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَشَاقُّوا الرَّسُولَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْهُدَىٰ لَنْ يَضُرُّوا اللَّهَ شَيْئًا وَسَيُحْبِطُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ

Indeed, those who disbelieved and obstruct from the path of Allah, and disagreed the Messenger after the Guidance has been explained to them, they never harm Allah in any way, while He will make futile their deeds.

As explained in verses 14: 28-30, transgressing hypocrites make Hellfire permissible for their blind followers by hiding Adhikr—the favor of Allah—and obstructing the Straightpath. They have read verse 3: 91, which warns that a ransom equal to the earth’s gold will not save them on the Day of Judgment. See explanation 3: 176; 47: 1, 25-26.
